About job

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Senior EUC Developer / VBA & MS Access Developer to support and maintain a suite of legacy business tools. The role focuses primarily on troubleshooting, maintenance, enhancement, and business support, ensuring the continued stability and usability of existing applications.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse issues, propose practical solutions, and implement approved changes. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently in complex, poorly documented legacy environments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Organise workshops and work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed applications and EUC solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Excel and MS Access applications, including VBA development.
  • Create and maintain queries, analyse reports, and evaluate existing applications.
  • Gather diagnostic information and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Debug and optimise VBA code, queries, and database structures.
  • Investigate complex issues in legacy and poorly documented environments.
  • Discuss findings and proposed improvements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement approved changes and enhancements.
  • Contribute to the testing of amended applications, queries, and reports.
  • Document solutions and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing.
  • Skills required

    • 5+ years of experience in managing and supporting End-User Computing (EUC) solutions.
    • Strong hands-on experience with VBA — this is a critical requirement.
    • Experience with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel, with strong MS Access experience being a significant advantage.
    • Understanding of relational databases and SQL, including experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimising legacy applications.
    • Ability to work independently and solve complex problems within existing technical constraints.
    • Experience working with large datasets, older applications, and environments with limited documentation.
    • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
    • Result-driven mindset and eagerness to learn.

    Nice to have:

    • Dutch language skills, particularly for troubleshooting and collaborating in Dutch-speaking environments.
    • Experience with Python.
    • Knowledge of HTML.

    What can you expect?

  • An opportunity to work on the maintenance and improvement of business-critical legacy applications.
  • Close collaboration with business stakeholders to solve real-world technical and operational challenges.
  • A role focused on troubleshooting, optimisation, maintenance, and incremental improvements rather than greenfield development.
  • Independent work within an established business environment.
  • Full-time engagement of 40 hours per week, with 8 hours per day.
  • Monthly timesheet submission.
  • Location: Czech Republic, with the exact work location to be specified.
  • Start date
