About job

We are seeking a Japanese-speaking QA Engineer to prepare, document, and execute testing activities for the deployment and handover of a custom AI-powered consolidation assessment application. You will act as the primary QA interface between the development team and CLIENT IT, ensuring the application meets functional, non-functional, operational, and compliance requirements.

Your Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret CLIENT IT compliance documents, application requirements, regulations, and testing frameworks in Japanese and English.
  • Develop and execute test plans covering Unit, Integration, External Integration, Parallel Operation, System Integration, Pre-UAT, and UAT.
  • Create test cases, expected results, traceability matrices, and testing documentation aligned with CLIENT standards.
  • Perform functional testing across AI Document Analysis, RAG pipelines, RBAC and user management, document management, OCR, reporting, admin functionality, and Memo Builder features.
  • Execute non-functional testing, including performance, load, security, availability, disaster recovery, backup/retention, and API/interface testing.
  • Validate OCR processing accuracy and multilingual support in Japanese and English.
  • Prepare and maintain testing documentation in Japanese and translate testing artifacts between Japanese and English.
  • Participate in CLIENT IT review meetings and respond to compliance inquiries in Japanese.
  • Track verification status, support risk management discussions, and provide testing evidence.
  • Execute regression testing after each release or deployment.
  • Report and triage bugs with clear reproduction steps and maintain test environments and test data.
  • Skills required

  • Native-level Japanese or JLPT N1, with the ability to read, write, and present technical documentation in business Japanese.
  • Working proficiency in English.
  • 3+ years of QA/testing experience in enterprise software.
  • Experience with test planning and execution across multiple phases, from Unit Testing through UAT.
  • Familiarity with REST API testing using Postman, curl, or similar tools.
  • Experience with security- and compliance-focused testing.
  • Comfortable working with Excel-based test matrices and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with AI/ML applications, document processing systems, RAG, or NLP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, including Container Apps, Blob Storage, and Azure OpenAI, is an advantage.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, or Cypress is preferred.
  • Understanding of RBAC/IAM and permission testing is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in professional services, Big 4, or financial services QA is a plus.
  • What can you expect?

  • Fully remote engagement with possible occasional in-person team sessions, workshops, or gatherings in Prague, approximately once per quarter.
  • Duration of 1–3 months, with potential extension depending on the deployment phase.
  • Collaboration with development teams in the CET time zone and CLIENT IT stakeholders.
  • Required overlap with U.S./CLIENT business hours: minimum 2–6 PM CET, preferably 2–7 PM CET.
  • Opportunity to work on an enterprise AI-powered application and support its deployment and handover.
  • Work with tools and technologies including manual and automated testing, pytest, browser-based E2E testing, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GitHub Issues, and Azure DevOps.
