About job

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Manual QA Engineer to champion quality for a high-profile Football Mobile Fan Engagement Platform. You will play a key role in ensuring that the mobile application and data platform are stable, intuitive, and perform flawlessly, especially during high-traffic game-day periods.

The project is a multi-layered digital initiative combining a native mobile application with a sophisticated data ingestion and analytics platform. The goal is to create a unified, real-time fan experience by bringing together news, videos, statistics, mobile ticketing, and in-stadium features into a single digital ecosystem.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, end-to-end scenarios, and detailed test cases for mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
  • Act as a quality advocate within an Agile/Scrum team and ensure quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Identify, isolate, document, and track defects through to resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Developers to understand requirements and communicate testing results, risks, and issues.
  • Provide accurate testing estimates and support release planning.
  • Take ownership of QA processes and contribute to improving testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Help establish scalable and repeatable QA processes for future projects.
  • Challenge assumptions, propose improvements, and explain quality-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide other team members and promote a culture of shared responsibility for quality.
  • Skills required

  • 5+ years of experience in manual software quality assurance across multiple complex projects.
  • Strong experience testing cross-platform applications, including iOS, Android, and web applications across different browsers.
  • Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proven ability to create test plans, test cases, and end-to-end test scenarios based on user stories and technical specifications.
  • Expert knowledge of testing methodologies, including Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Integration, Component, UI/UX, and Acceptance Testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-driven and proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with Swagger, Postman, and Python automation.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub.
  • Nice to have:

    • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
    • Previous experience in a Lead QA role or mentoring junior QA engineers.
    • Experience with performance and load testing.
    • Experience with Generative AI.

    What can you expect?

  • Work on a high-profile Football Mobile Fan Engagement Platform designed to deliver a real-time, personalised experience to a global fanbase.
  • Fully remote engagement with possible occasional in-person team sessions, workshops, or gatherings in Prague, approximately once per quarter.
  • Collaboration with a cross-functional team in an Agile environment.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of QA processes and influence the overall quality strategy.
  • US hours overlap is required, with a minimum overlap to be agreed.
  • HackerRank Challenge: Yes.
